The ancient greeks believed that a new human soul was born every time an adult butterfly emerged from its cocoon.

A beautiful old specimen butterfly from an unwanted museum collection, is placed on a miniature resin statue of caesar.  This miniature world is presented under a new glass dome with a specially turned base from a Victorian table leg.
