The ancient greeks believed that a new human soul was born every time an adult butterfly emerged from its cocoon.
A beautiful specimen butterfly, from an old museum collection, is placed on a miniature, leather bound book from 1920s/30s, of Shakespeare's tragedy Titus Andronicus. This miniature world is presented in a glass dome with a black waxed wooden base.
